Arsenal bosses have asked their Marseille counterparts to be a little more serious in their approach to Eddie Nketiah.

Arsenal have told Olympique Marseille to get serious if they still want Eddie Nketiah’s services.

The English striker has agreed personal terms with OM and is eager to join the Vélodrome. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the former Olympian, has particularly strongly advised him to take the step. The Gunners are not necessarily against it but they insist that he will not leave for a cut-price price.

OM should return to the charge for Nketiah

This is according to Sky Sports journalist Darmesh Sheth.
“We know that Marseille are interested. Their first offer, a few weeks ago, was rejected by Arsenalhe began by revealing. The gap between that offer and Arsenal’s valuation was so big that the London club did not expect Marseille to come back with an improved offer at all.”

“The information I received was that Marseille were going to come back and that’s what they did. We think the last offer that was made was around €20 million. It’s maybe not what Arsenal would like yet, but it’s enough for them to at least continue the negotiations,” added the English journalist.

He then concluded by saying that he was nevertheless optimistic about the finalization of the deal: “The fact that the two clubs are continuing to discuss therefore implies that there is a possibility that an agreement can be reached.”
