Victim of a heart attack at the end of June, Nabil Bentaleb had caused a lot of concern among those around him. Finally, after about ten days in hospital, the Algerian is doing well.
The LOSC player no longer has any after-effects from this incident. So much so that he has received the green light from the medical service to resume competition and high-level football. This is what La Voix du Nord reveals. A verdict that could be surprising given the seriousness of the problem he had.
Bentaleb does not want to take risks
The question now is whether Bentaleb will decide to continue or not. That would not be the trend at the moment. The former Angevin would prioritize his health. And that is why he is seriously considering hanging up his boots. Otherwise, he will have to go through the LFP competitions committee to get permission to play again.
Since his professional debut in 2013, Bentaleb (29 years old) has played 273 matches and scored 25 goals. He has also played 52 times with his country’s national team, notably taking part in the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. If he says stop, he can still be very proud of the journey he has made.
