New Ligue 1 broadcaster DAZN has unveiled its offers to follow the French championship from next season.

Everything is finally complete: DAZN and beIN Sports will be the two broadcasters of Ligue 1 from next season until 2029. The agreement with the two media was made official this Thursday by the Professional Football League. “The negotiations were intense because we wanted to reach agreements that would meet the interests of all clubs and that would allow French football to continue its development and increase its attractiveness.”explains Vincent Labrune.

“We will now work hand in hand to offer our fans the best possible show and deliver content that meets their expectations.”adds the president of the LFP in a press release. Following this announcement, DAZN has unveiled its plans to follow Ligue 1, and they are likely to put off many viewers. To watch the French championship, future subscribers will have to pay up to €39.99 per month.

The price will start at €14.99 for the “Super Sports” option, which provides one Ligue 1 match – and only one – live and exclusive per day, in addition to the other disciplines broadcast by the British platform (Betclic Elite in basketball, PFL in MMA, boxing, Glory in kick-boxing, the Women’s Champions League and the Jupiler Pro League in football, etc.). An offer rather intended for those who would like to follow only the matches of their favorite team.

DAZN’s two offers for Ligue 1

To watch all the Ligue 1 matches obtained by DAZN (eight per day live, the ninth delayed), subscribers will have to take out an “Unlimited” subscription, starting at €29.99 per month. The price of this package could climb to €39.99 per month if taken without commitment. For its part, beIN Sports, which has acquired one elite match per day, should not change its current offer, which amounts to €15 per month. The bill is therefore set to be steep for football fans.

To follow the entire championship, they will actually have to pay at least €44.99 per month (€29.99 for the DAZN “Unlimited” option with a minimum one-year commitment + €15 for beIN Sports). A real cold shower. The day before, RMC Sport announced that the subscription to the “Netflix of sport” would be between €10 and €15 per month. In the end, the bill is much higher. Will viewers fall back on IPTV?
