Things are moving in the Parisian midfield. Barely back from his loan at AS Roma, Renato Sanches is going to leave again, probably to Benfica Lisbon. Cher Ndour should also be loaned out, with Ligue 1 clubs on the lookout. Ethan Mbappé left the club to join LOSC, while Carlos Soler is on the transfer market and Manuel Ugarte is the subject of discussions between Paris and Manchester United.

The overhaul of this sector is therefore real, with a trio of untouchables Vitinha-Fabian Ruiz-Zaire-Emery and expected additions. The first should be João Neves, for whom optimism reigns. As we revealed to you last week, the Parisian club hopes to welcome him this week, after the last negotiations with Benfica.

A balance player

According to The Teamanother track is now being explored by Luis Campos, the architect of the squad led by Luis Enrique. It leads to Jerdy Schouten, who belongs to PSV Eindhoven. A duty player, aged 27, he showed himself to his advantage during Euro 2024 with his selection of the Netherlands. He thus started all the matches, until the defeat in the semi-final against England.

Bought just a year ago by PSV in Bologna for a check for €15 million, it is currently valued at €28 million according to Transfermarkt. Not sure that PSV Eindhoven planned to sell him so quickly, and Schouten has a contract until 2028. He has a more defensive profile, like Manuel Ugarte, whom PSG are ready to part ways with, than the other midfielders in the Parisian midfield. A team player, Schouten was considered indispensable by his coach Ronald Koeman to ensure balance in the middle.
