José Mourinho has big plans for his new club Fenerbahçe. And that’s why he hopes to sign a Manchester City player before the end of the transfer window. The player in question is Mateo Kovacic.
Fenerbahce are ready to make a €28m bid for the Croatia international, who only joined City a year ago from Chelsea, and The Sun claim City are prepared to sell Kovacic.
Mourinho flirts with Croatian veteran
Mourinho appreciates this central midfielder and he has asked the management of his club to do what is necessary for the player to be recruited. Before landing at Manchester City, Kovacic also defended the colors of Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Since he took over as head coach of the Istanbul team, Mourinho has already signed a big name, namely Allan Saint-Maximin (ex Newcastle).
As a reminder, Fenerbahçe could challenge LOSC during the 3e preliminary round of the Champions League. The Turks must avoid the pitfall of Lugano in the second qualifying round.
