On Thursday, the Professional Football League awarded eight Ligue 1 matches per matchday to DAZN for €400 million per season. To make this investment profitable, the British sports streaming service had initially considered a monthly subscription that could amount to €40.
Upon learning of this price, many Ligue 1 followers expressed their indignation, threatening not to take out the subscription or to find an (illegal) alternative via IPTV. According to
The TeamDAZN decision-makers have taken into account public concern. Thus, the subscription price should be revised downwards, around 25 euros per month.
Ligue 1 TV rights, club presidents are worried

Even if DAZN lowers the price initially planned, it does not mean that it will be fixed. In Italy, the group created in 2015 has just announced that the subscription of the contract to watch the entire Serie A has increased from 34.99 to 44.99 euros per month.
