A French national team player bids farewell to his former club.

Jonathan Clauss joined OGC Nice on Thursday, marking the end of his two-year adventure at Olympique de Marseille.

Having arrived on the Canebière in July 2022 from RC Lens, the French right-back trained at RC Strasbourg has signed a two-year contract with the Gym, until June 2026. Although he remains in the south of France, Clauss wanted to send a message to Marseille supporters and the entire club.

Clauss thanks OM

“I had the honour of wearing this jersey 85 times during these two years rich in learning. I would like to thank first of all all the OM supporters for this incredible fervour, the directors, the members of the staff, the different coaches and obviously my teammates, and those with whom I shared my daily life during these two seasons”wrote the French international on
Instagram.

“A page is turning in my career, and I wish you the best. People of Marseille, goodbye and thank you!”he added.
