Despite a run that took the French team to the semi-finals of the Euro, Didier Deschamps has not convinced many people in this competition with his deployed game and his tactical choices. But while many followers of the Blues were calling for his resignation, it is not expected to happen any time soon. As revealed last week by The Parisianthe 55-year-old coach spoke with Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation, to take stock of this Euro and to explain what went wrong during the competition.

The daily also reveals that DD then spoke to the various members of the FFF Executive Committee (COMEX). The members of the COMEX, and more particularly Jean-Michel Aulas, supported him for the two years remaining in his contract. He hopes that his group will show a better face, from September 6 against Italy at the Parc des Princes, then on the 9th against Belgium in Lyon, in the Nations League.
