Clément Lenglet weighs heavily in the finances of FC Barcelona. The Catalan club, facing major financial difficulties, is looking for a way to get rid of the Frenchman’s salary as quickly as possible. Recruited for 36 million euros by Barça in 2018, the former Nancy player extended his contract in 2020 during the Covid period and saw his emoluments postponed to allow the Blaugranas to get their heads above water during this crisis. Respected within the club for his professionalism at all times, Barça would look for the best solution for Lenglet and will not force him to join Saudi Arabia against his will.
