Neymar made his opponents feel “like children” when he played in France for Paris Saint-Germain, according to a former Ligue 1 star.

Neymar stunned the football world when he joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017. The French club broke the world transfer record by activating his €222 million release clause to bring the Brazilian to the French capital. Neymar has become a star at PSG, winning a host of trophies and forming a star-studded attack alongside Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

Neymar spent six years at PSG but never managed to help the club achieve their greatest ambition of winning the Champions League. The Brazilian regularly lit up the Parc des Princes with his dazzling skills, but he was also booed by fans during his time at the club and regularly came under fire. However, one of Neymar’s former Ligue 1 opponents, Abdoul Camara, has revealed what it was like to face the Brazilian and was full of praise for the ex-Paris star.

“He wasn’t making any effort.”

The former Guingamp player said: ” Neymar is the best player I’ve ever played against. We felt like he wasn’t trying. He wasn’t playing the same football as us… We couldn’t do anything, really… We felt like we were spectators, kids watching him.”

Neymar won 13 titles during his time at PSG. He made 173 appearances for the Ligue 1 club and scored 118 goals.
