After a more than forgettable season in terms of statistics (2 goals in 28 matches), and punctuated by a rather average loan spell with Leverkusen, Borja Iglesias (31 years old) signed with Celta Vigo this Friday. The Spanish international (2 caps) is on loan for a season from Betis Sevilla, as announced by the Galician club on its social networks. Trained at Celta, Iglesias remains to this day the top scorer in the history of the reserve team.
“Borja Iglesias returns home. The Panda returns to RC Celta, loaned by Real Betis to strengthen the Galician attack. He returns, pending the usual medical examinations, with a splendid, rich and striking career“, the club’s statement said.
