The French under-19 team concluded the group stage of its Euro with a draw this Monday against Spain (2-2).

After the opening of the score by the Monegasque Saimon Bouabre, with a big shot under the bar (13e), the Bleuets were surprised twice, by Daniel Rodriguez (65e) and Simo (74e).

With a bit of luck, Bernard Diomède’s players nevertheless snatched a draw in the final moments of the game thanks to Reims’ Valentin Atangana Edoa (90e).

A sharing of points which, after two successes over Turkey (2-1) and Denmark (4-2), allows the young French to save their leadership in front of their Spanish counterparts, for a semi-final against Ukraine this Thursday.

In the other group, the Ukrainians finished second behind Italy, and ahead of Norway and Northern Ireland. The French team has already won the Euro U19 eight times in its history. The last time was in 2016. With a certain Kylian Mbappé in the ranks.
