While the summer transfer window is in full swing at Olympique de Marseille, a former member of the club could well make his return to the Canebière. According to information from The Gazette dello SportChilean striker Alexis Sanchez would, in fact, be open to the idea of a new lease under the Marseille colours.
Free of any contract after his disappointing experience at Inter Milan, “El Niño Maravilla” is ready to make financial efforts to return to OM. He is demanding a salary of 3.5 million euros per year, much less than the 6 million he was asking for to extend his contract with the Ciel et Blanc a year ago.
OM has a priority
A return that comes at the right time for the southern club, looking for a striker to compensate for the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left for Al-Qadsiah. Ironically, the Gabonese striker himself had arrived at the Vélodrome to replace Sanchez, who left for the Nerazzurri.
However, it should be noted that this file is not yet a done deal. If Sanchez is an interesting option for OM, the Marseille leaders have other options in mind. Eddie Nketiah, the English striker from Arsenal, would indeed be the club’s priority for this position.
