Spain are officially European champions for the fourth time in their history. La Roja beat England in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday night. Back home, Luis de la Fuente’s players visited Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez before celebrating the title in style in Madrid’s Plaza de Cibeles with thousands of Spanish national team supporters. It was a chance to sing, dance and shout to celebrate Spain’s fourth European title.

And on the eve of Kylian Mbappé’s presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu, the supporters and players of La Roja launched into a biting chant against Kylian Mbappé, now a new Real Madrid player who had a disappointing semi-final with Les Bleus: “Where is Mbappé? Mbappé where is he?“, they sang in unison in the capital’s square, while the Roja players triumphantly carried veteran Jesus Navas, an unexpected starter in the semi-final on the side of an invisible Mbappé.
