Now that Euro 2024 is officially over, clubs will be able to move forward with their summer transfer window. In Italy, Empoli is looking to offer its new coach Roberto d’Aversa, officially appointed two weeks ago, enough to have a solid season in Serie A. As a reminder, the Tuscan club narrowly snatched its place in Serie A by finishing in 17th place. According to our information, president Fabrizio Corsi has given his approval to lock in two new arrivals: Lorenzo Colombo from AC Milan (22 years old) and Sebastiano Esposito from Inter (22 years old), two strikers who have been on loan in recent seasons. Negotiations are well advanced and these two transfers will be finalized in the coming days.

However, these two transactions will not take the same form. Indeed, according to our indiscretions, Colombo, who had shown great things at Monza last season, will arrive in the form of a dry loan without an option to buy since the Rossoneri are still counting on him in the near future. However, Esposito, who is coming off a loan at Sampdoria in Serie B, will be loaned with an obligation to buy included in the deal. Under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2025, the young striker hopes to finally be able to establish himself in the elite. In any case, Empoli will considerably strengthen its attack after the losses of M’Baye Niang, Nicolò Cambiaghi, Matteo Cancellieri and Mattia Destro.
