The Argentines are once again in a scandal over racism. After their victory in the Copa América, the Argentines celebrated their victory by singing several chants, including one that was racist towards the French team. In an Instagram live broadcast by Enzo Fernandez, the Albiceleste players can be heard singing a chant created by their supporters during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Chelsea midfielder tried to hide this racist and transphobic chant, by cutting the live at this precise moment, but in his video, we can hear Leo Messi’s teammates singing the beginning of the song. The lyrics of the latter are as explicit as they are nauseating. “They play for France but come from Angola, they’re going to run well, they like to fuck trans people, their mother is Nigerian, their father Cambodian, but on the passport: French.”
