After Modric, another Real Madrid executive extends his contract
At Real Madrid, it’s time for contract extensions. One of the team’s veterans has followed in Luka Modric’s footsteps.

Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez has signed a new contract with his club. The 33-year-old is now tied to the Merengue until 2025.

Last season, the Spain international was not among Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice players, but he still played a key role in Real winning the Champions League and LaLiga last season.

Real Madrid retains its old veterans

He scored three goals and provided eight assists in 38 competitive appearances last season. Not bad for a substitute.

On Wednesday, Real Madrid also confirmed that Luka Modric, 38, is staying at the club for a further year. The Croatian was retained following the retirement of Toni Kroos.
