Serie A: Monza offers victory at Salernitana

Wojciech Szczęsny is likely to leave Juventus Turin this summer, after 7 years of good and loyal service. To replace him, the Turin club has decided to bet on Michele Di Gregorio, the Monza goalkeeper.

Aged 26, he was named best goalkeeper in Serie A last season, with Monza. In its press release, the Old Lady recalls that:

  • Among the goalkeepers who played in the last Serie A championship, Michele Di Gregorio is the one who made the most saves, 127 in 33 matches.
  • In the last Serie A, no goalkeeper made more saves than Michele Di Gregorio in a single match: nine, in last December’s match against Napoli.
  • Michele Di Gregorio is the goalkeeper who has kept the most goals in the five major European leagues in the 2023/24 season.
