Having arrived at Galatasaray in February 2023, Nicolò Zaniolo has never managed to acclimatise in Turkey. The former Roma player, loaned to Aston Villa during the 2023/2024 season, will not return to Istanbul, as his story with the Turkish champions is about to end.

In fact, Zaniolo is currently in Italy, where he has just passed the first part of his medical in order to sign for Atalanta. According to Sky Sports Italyhe should sign in the form of a paying loan of 3.5 million euros, accompanied by a mandatory purchase option estimated at 16 million euros.
