Seriously injured more than a year ago following a fall from a horse, Sergio Rico was unable to honour his return to training at the end of last season. The PSG goalkeeper underwent medical examinations which proved reassuring in recent weeks, but he had to wait for approval from the French authorities to resume his professional activities. A total uncertainty for the Spanish goalkeeper, at the end of his contract with the capital club.
And according to information from France BlueSergio Rico will not be retained by Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish goalkeeper will therefore be free of any contract in a few hours. The former Sevilla goalkeeper had suffered a serious head trauma in an accident on May 28, 2023 in the Seville region of Spain. He had been plunged into a coma and had spent 82 days in hospital.
