Premier League to monitor summer transfer window in England

Season after season, the Premier League is tightening its rules on the economics of clubs. This summer, each transfer will be closely monitored by the English Championship body, after unusual transactions have caught their eye, explains the Daily MailIndeed, several exchanges have recently taken place between Premier League clubs, such as between Everton and Aston Villa.

Midfielder Tim Iroegbunam joined the Toffees for €10m, while in the other direction, winger Lewis Dobbin joined the Villans for €11m. Early transfers, seen as a way of amortizing the clubs’ spending over time, have had the gift of waking up the Premier League.
