Real Madrid’s Machiavellian strategy to crack LOSC with Leny Yoro

He is only 18 years old, but he is already one of the most sought-after players of the moment. Where will Leny Yoro play next season? It is a question that everyone is asking. The only certainty that seems to exist in this case is none other than his departure from LOSC, especially since his contract expires in 2025. To collect a big check, it is therefore this summer or never. The rather vague context surrounding the TV rights of Ligue 1 also makes a transfer a little more interesting – or even necessary – than other summers.

And that’s good for LOSC, there are some serious contenders, all capable of dropping a nice sum in July or August, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid at the top of the list. Recently, it has also been said that the player said no to the Parisians, and that his intention is rather to sign with the reigning European champion, alongside Kylian Mbappé, Eduardo Camavinga or Aurélien Tchouameni.

Real Madrid temporizes

Only, as explained by the COPE chainReal Madrid calms things down. Even if Nacho’s confirmed departure pushes them to recruit in defense, the Madrilenians are not going to do anything crazy. Aware that they have the player’s favor, they are going to let the clock tick down in order to put pressure on Lille. Which would force, in the minds of the Merengues decision-makers, LOSC to revise its claims downwards. The radio also confirms that the Madrilenians do not want to pay more than 40 million euros for Yoro.

It is therefore very likely that the Madrilenians will wait until the very end of August to really go on the attack and thus have a LOSC with its back to the wall in front of it, who will have no other choice but to sell him under penalty of losing him for free. A risky strategy all the same, since it leaves time for other clubs to get back into the race and try to change the mind of the 18-year-old defender…
