Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a dream night with Georgia on Wednesday, beating Portugal and his idol Cristiano Ronaldo. Delighted at the various microphones held out after the match, he was also asked about his future, which was debated again on the Naples side yesterday during Antonio Conte’s official presentation. And the least we can say is that the 23-year-old left winger has not made a decision on the subject.

“I don’t know yet if I’m going to stay, I respect Conte because he is one of the best coaches in the world. I want to take a few more days to think, after the European Championship I will decide what to do,” he said, before adding later, in front of another microphone: “I respect and love Naples, but I still don’t know how to give a certain answer about my future.” Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is expected in Germany for a short visit to the Georgian training camp, in order to speed up the process of extending his player’s contract. PSG, for its part, remains hopeful in this thorny issue.
