Leicester will return to the Premier League next season after a year in the Championship. The Foxes, who finished as champions, impressed with their results but also with the way they played with an enticing style of play. However, their coach, Enzo Maresca, has now signed with Chelsea, leaving the ship. Leicester have been looking for a successor for a few weeks and Graham Potter was the favourite. The arrival of the former Brighton and Chelsea coach was well on the way. Yesterday, according to The Guardianboth parties are in agreement. But it is nevertheless a completely different coach who should take the reins of the Foxes.

The Telegraph claims that Steve Cooper is on track to sign with Leicester. The two sides are expected to meet this week. Also free since his dismissal from Nottingham Forest in December, the Welshman could be a low-cost solution. The Foxes are in financial trouble and could be penalised with a points deduction for breaching English Financial Fair Play rules. Their attractiveness in this transfer window is therefore far from clear.
