Cristiano Ronaldo warns the French team, Portugal’s future opponent at the Euro.

Winners of the clash of neighbours against Belgium (1-0) this Monday at the Euro, the Blues are preparing to face Portugal in the quarter-finals, who triumphed over Slovenia on penalties (0-0, 3-0 on penalties).

Like the previous edition in 2021, where the duel between the two teams ended in a draw (2-2) in the group stage, Cristiano Ronaldo and the Seleção will meet the French team and Kylian Mbappé. On the Portugal side,
The Portuguese star wiped away his tears after his missed penalty against Jan Oblak
and sent a clear message to his French adversaries.

Ronaldo prepares for war

“We’re going to have a tough match against France and we’ll have to prepare to go to war. France are favourites for the competition, along with Germany and Spain. France are very strong defensively and have some very good players in attack. They’ve just been to the World Cup final. But we’re ready, let them come.”said the Al-Nassr striker.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also spoke about his failure against the Slovenian goalkeeper. “I’m going to do this all my life. For a year, I didn’t miss a single one, and when it was needed most, Oblak pushed it back. I’m sorry for the fans but I’ve never been afraid to face challenges with my head held high, and you’ll never see me give up,” CR7 added.
