The transfer market has still not moved at FC Barcelona. While the Catalan club has inducted Hansi Flick as its head before the start of Euro 2024, the German manager would like to draw in particular from the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich, his former club, where Joshua Kimmich expresses desire to leave. But the time has not yet come for arrivals for Barça, since it still hopes to sell some undesirables in order to be able to register new players.

The Financial Fair Play rule does not help and, contrary to what Joan Laporta claims, the club’s finances are not really improving and it would even be in enormous difficulty to pay salaries. In this sense, the second in La Liga is looking first at the departures and, according to the latest information from SportManchester United have positioned themselves to recover a strong element of the last blaugrana season and it is Fermín López (21 years old).

Fermín López untransferable, but…

Erik ten Hag, who will ultimately remain at the helm of the team despite a disappointing season and an announced dismissal, is looking for midfielders with characteristics similar to those of Fermín López, with a certain technical quality. Manchester United have offered 30 million euros for the El Campillo player, but Barça consider him untransferable… at least for that amount. The Catalan daily specifies that a very good offer could lift his untransferable status.

Selected for Euro 2024 with La Roja, Fermín López could also see his value increase in the event of good performances in Germany, he who has already scored 11 goals and provided an assist in 43 matches with Barça, for his first season in the Elite. The Red Devils will therefore have to come back with a more interesting proposal if they want to afford the versatile midfielder, who has extended his contract until 2027.
