The Blues are in a tough situation at the start of the Euro. After a minimalist victory against Austria in the opening (1-0), France had to settle for two draws in a row against the Netherlands (0-0) and against Poland (1-1), causing France to fall into second place in Group D.
Is this a cause and effect link? Still, Didier Deschamps’ men do not excite the crowds. On Tuesday, the match against Poland did not even exceed 10 million viewers, with only 9.31 million fans watching TF1. The 6 p.m. schedule obviously didn’t help. No more than the good weather which reigned (finally) in France.
The call of the aperitif
