Levi Colwill is no longer just a promising defender at Chelsea, he is now the associate director of Sholing FC, a club in the Southern League (7th English division). The England international (1 selection last October) takes on these responsibilities at just 21 years old. It must be said that he has a very special history with this club. At a very young age, he watched his uncles play for Sholing. He was also the club’s mascot during their famous FA Vase victory at Wembley 10 years ago.

“My plan since I grew up has always been to help the community”he declared to the BBC. “This is incredible news for the club and the local community. We would like to thank Levi, Byron, Dan, Levis Dad, Levi Senior and Levi’s Mum, Debra for choosing our club to launch “The Levi Colwill Project”, added club president Paul Knott on this arrival. Levi Colwill will also be the club’s community ambassador and launch the ‘Levi Colwill Project’, which aims to encourage as many children as possible to enjoy football for free.
