Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez has reportedly signed a new contract with Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, ending his time at the Santiago Bernabéu and his entire career so far.

Nacho was out of contract this summer and has been free to negotiate with other clubs since January, but he appears to have made the final decision to leave the club of his heart before the Euros.

If he decided to leave Europe, Major League Soccer and Saudi Arabia were the most obvious options, but money talked.

The money has spoken

The 34-year-old will earn around €10 million per year for his two-year contract, which was signed on Monday morning, according to Marca. Before signing up, he hopes to be part of Spain’s victorious Euro 2024 campaign, although a muscle problem has left him doubtful for tonight’s match against Albania.

With Rafa Marin already on his way to Naples, it appears that Real Madrid will step up their efforts to sign Leny Yoro from Lille this summer. The 18-year-old prodigy is a priority for Real Madrid, and the Whites must now negotiate with the Mastiffs. His Spanish and Madrid teammate Joselu Mato also seems to be heading to the Middle East.
