The hard blows are piling up for Thierry Henry. While the composition of a pre-list for the Olympic Games represented a real headache for the coach of the French U23s, the latter is preparing to suffer yet another loss. After Lille’s Lucas Chevalier, Bafodé Diakité, Leny Yoro as well as Parisians Bradley Barcola and Warren Zaire-Emery, it is the turn of Maxime Estève to be refused participation in the Olympics by his club Burnley.

The reason ? According to The Team, the English club, freshly relegated to the Championship, refused to release the former Montpellier player to compensate for the injury of one of its players. The Lancashire team has already informed the French Federation of its decision according to the sports daily, forcing Thierry Henry and his staff to look for an additional defender.
