Fourth in the Bundesliga and qualified for the next Champions League, Marco Rose fulfilled his part of the contract with RB Leipzig this season. As a result, the German coach saw his lease extended by an additional season by his management, until June 2026. A new extension for the Saxon club which is added to that of Benjamin Sesko, currently in Germany to play the Euro 2024 with Slovenia.

“I am happy that we continue together. I’m from here and I feel comfortable in the city and the region. Since I started at RB Leipzig, we have defended the German Cup together and won the Super Cup. The club is working in the background to ensure we are a powerful team again. We believe that more is possible and that we also want more and more. We are ambitious, we remain ambitious and we look to the future together”, declared the 47-year-old technician. With this extension, the management of RB Leipzig now intends to secure the future of Xavi Simons, who maintains an excellent relationship with Marco Rose.
