Bayern have decided to break the bank this summer for one of the new French offensive phenomena.

He is not at the Euro with Didier Deschamps’ Blues but will be in the Olympic tournament under the leadership of Thierry Henry this summer. Michael Olise has already worn the French jersey seven times for the Espoirs – scoring one goal. He is also and above all preparing to embody one of the most resounding transfers of the summer.

At 22, the Franco-British winger born in London has never played in France but already enjoys a solid reputation across the Channel. The person concerned completed his classes at Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Reading, before breaking out on the professional level under the colors of Crystal Palace for three years.

An essential release clause

Michael Olise is coming off a season with 10 goals and 6 assists in 19 Premier League matches. A performance which visibly appealed to Bayern, ready according to RMC Sport to bet the amount of its release clause now. Or the tidy sum of 70 million euros to be paid into the coffers of the Eagles. The price of a London contract running until 2027.

Le Bleuet should now commit quickly for the next five years, i.e. until 2029. A great gamble on the part of the Munich ogre, which already counts many French people in its ranks: Dayot Upamecano, Sacha Boey, Kingsley Coman and Mathys Tel. It remains to be seen whether the player, who has also been followed in recent weeks by Chelsea and Newcastle, will be authorized by Bayern to play in the Olympics. Mathys Tel did not have the right to do so.
