After another historic season with La Liga and the Champions League, Real Madrid are clearly on cloud nine. Everything was a sporting success for Carlo Ancelotti’s men who still seem to be preparing very heavy things for next season. In this sense, the Madrid club has also formalized the arrival of Kylian Mbappé. The French star has finally joined Real Madrid after years and years of rumors. A huge sporting asset for the Merengues but also marketing.
Because Kylian Mbappé shines internationally and stands out for his big impact on club derivative products. Precisely, this Wednesday, Real Madrid officially unveiled its long-awaited home jersey for next season. The latter has just been unveiled by the club’s historic equipment supplier, Adidas, with whom Real Madrid has been under contract since 1998. A contract which is not about to end between the two parties.
A jersey reminiscent of the club’s traditional tunic
For this new jersey, which will therefore be Kylian Mbappé’s first at Real Madrid, Adidas has decided to swap the gold for black, which adorns the three original stripes of the German equipment manufacturer. No more gold-trimmed collar, this garment pays homage to the simple, iconic white design of the team’s home kit since its creation. He notably recalls the 2018-2019 season, the first without Cristiano Ronaldo who then signed for Juventus.
In addition to the black bands, the white of the jersey is distinguished by small patterns which bring relief and depth to the tunic. Unlike the previous year, the inscription “Hala Madrid” on the collar has visibly disappeared. The version of the jersey intended for Carlo Ancelotti’s players and the one intended for the supporters are both made from entirely recycled materials. The athletes’ version is equipped with HEAT.RDY technology, designed to optimize air circulation and guarantee a cooling effect during exercise. Kylian Mbappé, who is not currently on the poster to highlight the jerseys (unlike Bellingham and Vinicius Jr) could inaugurate during the European Super Cup against Atalanta on August 14.
