Everything is going very quickly at Borussia Dortmund on Thursday June 13. Less than two weeks after failing in the Champions League final against Real Madrid (2-0), Edin Terzic resigned. His mission lasted three and a half years, and almost ended in apotheosis after blowing hot and cold at the head of the first team. After his career in C1, as magnificent as it was unexpected, he was nevertheless reassured by his management, his contract expiring in 2025.

His tumultuous relationship with certain executives (Hummels, Reus) got the better of him. The recent 5th in the Bundesliga therefore set out in search of his new coach, but the search did not go very far. According to information from Bild, the management decided to trust Nuri Sahin, who was until then Terzic’s deputy. For the German media, there is no question of time to make the news official. His advisor, Reza Fazeli, is expected this Thursday at the club’s premises to finalize the operation. At 35, the former BvB and Real Madrid midfielder is promoted to head of the first team. He should have as his second a certain Sven Bender (35), also a former Borussia Dortmund player.
