Thunderbolt in the Ruhr! To everyone’s surprise, Edin Terzic has left his post as coach of Borussia Dortmund. Much criticized during the season, the German-Croatian technician seemed to have redeemed himself with his management by qualifying the Borussen in the Champions League final. But according to the latest news, the 41-year-old man presented his resignation to his management the day before. On the sidelines of the officialization of his departure by his team, the main party justified his decision in an open letter to BvB supporters.
“Dear Borussia fans, although it hurts me greatly at the moment, I would like to inform you that I will be leaving BvB today. It was a huge honor to be able to lead this great club to a German Cup victory and, more recently, a Champions League final. I asked the management for a meeting after our final at Wembley because after ten years of BvB, including five in the coaching team and two and a half years as head coach, I feel that the resumption to come should be accompanied by a new man on the sidelines. Anyone who knows me knows that during this decision-making process over the last few weeks, two hearts beat in my chest. But even after intensive discussions, my basic feeling has not changed. I always wish only the best to Borussia Dortmund and I don’t say goodbye, but hello BvB!declared the 41-year-old technician.
