Well in place tactically, the Tricolores were devilishly effective offensively to win against the reigning European champions and the vice-world champions.
France-England, rematch Tuesday in Saint-Etienne
It’s a solid success for the French in these qualifiers, with three victories in as many matches played. Before getting the better of the Lionesses, they beat Ireland (1-0) and Sweden (0-1). A good omen as the Paris Olympics approach, the major objective of Les Bleues this year.
