The former president of OM experienced a turbulent mandate between October 2016 and February 2021. He was unable to escape cyberharassment.

Monday, the trial of eleven Olympique de Marseille supporters for cyberharassment against Jacques-Henri Eyraud opened up. The former president of the Marseille club faced only five of them, before the tenth chamber of the Paris judicial court.

“We will have your skin”, “Let us hang this son of a dog”, “This will end badly for you”… Here are the kinds of messages the 56-year-old entrepreneur received, mainly during a period from the end of 2020 to the beginning of the following year.

Eyraud: “Everything was done to make me fall in love”

“The threat level was absolutely crazy. I loved this club, I loved this city, I have no regrets (having managed OM). Everything was done to make me leave my position and break down.”reacted the former leader of OM, quoted by RMC.

“These are serious remarkssaid Mr. Olivier Baratelli, lawyer for Jacques-Henri Eyraud. Let’s not trivialize them”. On February 26, 2021, the latter was removed from the presidency of the Olympian club and replaced by sports director Pablo Longoria, who still holds this position at present.
