Real Madrid’s Croatian international Luka Modric has expressed strong wishes for his future.
While Toni Kroos has announced his intention to hang up his boots after Euro 2024, the future of his midfield friend at Real Madrid, Luka Modric, remains unclear.
At the end of his contract next June, the 38-year-old Croatia captain has clearly shown his desire to continue his career at the highest level, what’s more, under the Madrid colors.
Modric’s dream
In an interview with Spanish radio COPEthe 2018 Ballon d’Or, who saw his playing time reduced this season, could not have been clearer: “I always said I wanted Real Madrid to be my last club,” Modric confided.
“I want to retire in Madrid, but let’s see how things develop. I hope this comes true. It would be a dream for me to retire at the club of my life,” he continued. The ball is now in the court of President Florentino Pérez and the Merengue management.
