The last son of Zinedine Zidane who played for Real Madrid will leave Casa Blanca this summer.
This is the end of a story that began in 2001 with the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the White House from Juventus Turin. According to information from the media Relevo, the last son of “Zizou” to play at Real Madrid, Theo, will leave the residents of the Santiago Bernabéu this summer.
At the end of his contract on June 30, Theo Zidane will not extend his lease with the Merengue. The 23-year-old midfielder has been playing for three seasons with Real’s reserve team, Castilla. If he was an important element of the squad led by Raul, he will never have managed to take the step and join the first team.
Theo Zidane has never played with the first team
This season, however, Theo Zidane was able to take advantage of the numerous injuries within Carlo Ancelotti’s group to take his place on the first team substitutes’ bench twice, against Naples in the Champions League and Granada in La Liga. But he never came into play.
As a reminder, the three other sons of the 98 world champion have already left Casa Blanca. Enzo (29) left in 2017 and recently retired. Goalkeeper Luca (26) has been playing for four years and now plays for Eibar, a resident of the Spanish second division. Finally, Elyaz (18 years old) left Castilla last January to continue his career with Betis Seville.
