Atalanta Bergamo is on cloud nine. The only team of the season to have beaten Bayer Leverkusen this season, the Dea can pride themselves on having chosen their moment well to do so. Indeed, on Wednesday, in the Europa League final, the Bergamasques gave Xabi Alonso’s men no chance at the end of a spectacular encounter marked by a hat-trick from Ademola Lookman (3-0). And as Gian Piero Gasperini had no desire to slow down his team, the latter did not slow down this Sunday against Torino and won by the same score against the Piedmontese team. Gianluca Scamacca opening the scoring with a superb inspiration (1-0, 26th), the Dublin hero struck again with his goal just before the break (2-0, 43rd).

Mario Pasalic completed the Bleu et Noir festival by scoring from the penalty spot (3-0, 71st). A great victory in front of their home crowd which allows them to climb to fourth place. The Turin misstep did not even benefit Napoli at the same time. Hosting Lecce at the same time, the Partenopei were never able to win and had to concede a frustrating goalless draw which buried their last European hopes. Napoli thus ends the season in a dull tenth place. Ninth, Torino will be in the Conference League if Fiorentina beats Olympiakos in the C4 final this Wednesday.
