Before the Coupe de France final, Pierre Sage, the OL coach, spoke about his future staff.
Pierre Sage is the man behind OL’s magnificent comeback during the second part of the season. After replacing Fabio Grosso, he gave Les Gones some color, notably qualifying them for Europe, and today everyone is campaigning for him to continue his adventure in this role. But what does he think about it?
The person concerned spoke on the subject just before the Coupe de France final. “Obviously, we have a match this evening (the Coupe de France final). When we enter Lyon, we will perhaps decide”, he confided to the microphone of BeIn Sports. If successful, Sage would become the first coach to offer a trophy to OL since Rémi Garde in 2012.
Sage makes supporters happy
While waiting for his fate to be clarified, Sage can already count on the support of fans. He admits that he is not indifferent to it. “It’s nice. I’m one of them and it’s something they really like. And we don’t forget to include the players in this recognition. »
Sage also indicated that he does everything possible to ensure that the Lyon public gets their money’s worth when watching his troops play. “Bielsa and Guardiola, they inspire me a lot. They have an approach to the game that is oriented towards spectacle and giving something to the audience. It’s something that inspires me.”
