Failing to be in the Coupe de France final like OL and PSG, Éric Roy has sent Stade Brestois to the Champions League next season, and that may be worth even more. Nevertheless, the 56-year-old technician promises to watch this final “as a football fan”, who played for OL during his playing career (1993-1996). And he does not rule out a surprise victory for his former club.

OL are in very good shape. The Lyonnais will perhaps still remember the 4-1 they suffered recently in Paris. I see a different match, it’s a final, it’s something else. And in the cup, the favorite doesn’t always win. We just saw it recently in the Europa League between Atalanta and Leverkusen, entrusted Éric Roy to Progress. If OL have any chances? Yes. I think OL must have learned lessons from their 4-1 defeat against PSG. Lyon had tried to have the ball, but against Paris it is difficult to have it. Afterwards, OL have the arguments to worry PSG.”
