AS Monaco should be very active during the next summer transfer window.
For the first time in six years, AS Monaco will compete in the prestigious Champions League. Runner-up to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this 2023-24 campaign, the Principality club is approaching the next year with great ambition, with a significant European culture on the scale of French football.
To meet this challenge, Monaco should complete its squad with players capable of providing real added value. And with this in mind, one name would already be unanimous in the upper echelons of the club: Georges Mikautadze.
Mercato: Monaco holds Ben Yedder’s replacement
Loaned to FC Metz by Ajax Amsterdam this winter, the Georgian striker was essential in the progress of the Lorraine club, which ended up securing a play-off place. Author of 13 goals in just 20 appearances, Mikautdze has even established himself as one of the most successful strikers in Ligue 1 in this second half of the season.
The arrival of this technical, mobile and realistic striker in front of goal would fill the planned departure of Wissam Ben Yedder. Emblematic player of ASM, the French international sees his contract expire on June 30.
