Neymar was able to fully enjoy the first months of his little Mavie, born at the beginning of October. A few days later, the Brazilian suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligaments and the meniscus of his left knee during the Uruguay-Brazil match and was left with a long convalescence.
And if his return was initially hoped for this summer, the former Parisian must ultimately have to be patient. “ All I know for now is that the time needed for Neymar to recover, and in general for this type of injury, is 10 to 11 months, confided Jorge Jesus, his coach at Al-Hilal, adding: “ If we do the math, he won’t be ready to do the pre-season preparation.»
A salary of 100 million euros per year
Arriving last summer at Al-Hilal, the Seleçao playmaker only played six league matches with the Saudi club before getting injured. A hard blow for the Riyadh team, which in fact spent no less than 90 million euros to secure the services of the native of Santos and pays him no less than 100 million euros per year.
Al-Hilal, however, weathered the injury of the Brazilian number 10 well since the Saudi club won a fourth league title in five years, even crushing the championship.
