Lautaro Martinez intends to stay at Inter Milan, but he is waiting for a gesture from his leaders to extend his contract.
Lautaro Martinez feels more than comfortable at Inter Milan. Arriving in July 2018 from Racing Club, the Argentine striker has established himself as an undisputed leader in his position, both in Italy and in Europe.
While his contract expires in June 2026, the Nerazzurri star scorer has confirmed the progress of negotiations for his extension with the Lombard club. A fair reward for the 2022 world champion and Italy’s top scorer, who won his second Scudetto and third Italian Super Cup this season with Inter.
Martinez gives his conditions
“There are only a few details missing, I wanted it to be resolved before the end of this week but it could be delayed, explained Lautaro Martinez. I don’t know what will happen but there is no problem.” warned the 2022 world champion.
Discussions around an annual salary of 12 million euros are underway, while its leaders are currently offering 9 million euros. An agreement nevertheless seems imminent, both the player and the transalpine team wish to continue their fruitful collaboration.
