The last time Arsenal lifted the Premier League title, Thierry Henry was still with the Gunners. In 2004, the Frenchman even finished the season as the Invincibles team’s top scorer. Twenty years later, Arsenal finally have the opportunity to win the English championship again. But the fate of the competition is no longer in their hands: Manchester City is in a strong position in the standings with two points more than the Londoners. A situation which leaves Thierry Henry perplexed as to the Gunners’ title chances.

“It’s in City’s hands. (…) I have already seen them do it so many times: the Aguero moment back then, the Tottenham match a few days ago, I have already seen them not collapse. So I have a hard time thinking they’re going to fail this time. But the fan in me, on the other hand, thinks, ‘Hey, wait, you never know what might happen.’ City are a special team, I just hope they don’t win this title.”he admitted at the microphone of the BBC.
