Kylian Mbappé organized a farewell party on Monday evening in a restaurant in the capital with no less than 250 guests.
They were all there or almost. Kylian Mbappé had seen the big picture for his departure after seven seasons at PSG. The French world champion had in fact organized a farewell evening in an Italian restaurant in the 8th arrondissement, Gigi, with some 250 guests. His teammates and their families were present as well as several club employees.
A notable absence was nevertheless noticed. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, with whom the former Monegasque has maintained a very fresh relationship since last summer and the conflict which opposed them at the heart of the transfer window, had obviously not been invited to the party. Arriving at the evening at 7:30 p.m., Kylian Mbappé appeared all smiles despite the obvious emotion that accompanied him throughout the evening.
Resumption of training this Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Bondynois obviously gave a little speech to thank everyone. “Here, we are family, he said, as shown in a video published on social networks. All the people who are here, I consider them as loved ones so it will be easy to talk and open my heart to everyone. There is no message to convey, no ambiguity to give. These are really people I want to thank from the bottom of my heart. If you are here, it is because at one point you influenced my life.”
Having left the evening a little after midnight, the Frenchman can now turn to his last challenge with PSG: the final of the Coupe de France, which he should play well after being deprived of the last two matches of the Rouge et Bleu in Ligue 1. Like all his teammates, he is expected this Tuesday at 5 p.m. to resume training.
