Jose Mourinho could return to coaching next season, with the Saudi Pro League giants keen to sign him.

The legendary Portuguese coach could reunite with Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia next season as Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad are reportedly keen to appoint Mourinho as their next manager, according to journalist Bruno Andrade. The former Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea coach has been without a club since leaving AS Roma in January.

Andrade also claimed that the 2022/23 Saudi champions have included former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri in their list of candidates for the coaching position. Allegri was fired by the Serie A club straight after leading them to the Coppa Italia title by beating Atalanta 1-0 in the final.

Turkey as a destination?

Mourinho is also tipped to join the Turkish Super Lig, with Fenerbahçe and Besiktas having both expressed interest in the legendary coach.

Several major European clubs such as Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea could all be in the market for a new manager and it remains to be seen where the veteran tactician will go ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
