The current coach of LOSC would be the priority of Olympique de Marseille to succeed Jean-Louis Gasset.

If Jean-Louis Gasset has managed to rectify the situation of Olympique de Marseille by taking over from Gennaro Gattuso, the experienced technician should not linger on the bench of the Marseille club.

Management would survey the market to begin a new project next season. And one name would be unanimous among the club’s upper management: Paulo Fonseca. The LOSC coach has had a high rating since his arrival in Lille. A senior OM player did not hesitate to say all the good things he thought of the Portuguese.

“I learned a lot from him”

Jordan Veretout was managed by Paulo Fonseca during his time in Serie A, at AS Roma. The vice-world champion made very complimentary remarks about the LOSC coach. “With (Paulo) Fonseca, it was great! We had a great time, he likes the game, that his midfielders touch the ball, that things move… I learned a lot with him,” enthused the 2022 world vice-champion in an interview with La Provence.

” I admire him. It’s not for nothing that Lille produces great play, it’s the coach’s touch. It’s good for the championship. An arrival at OM? I’m a player (laughs). I really like it but I don’t know what the future holds. I like him, we get along well and I’m happy that he’s succeeding in France.” concluded Veretout.
