Ansu Fati has not said his last word. The Spanish striker on loan from Barça to Brighton this season has made no secret of his desire to return to Camp Nou. The former Masia player dreams of a new chance to shine in the Blaugrana jersey and to convince coach Xavi to place his trust in him.
However, according to information from the Catalan daily Sport, the management of FC Barcelona would not share this enthusiasm. The leaders would no longer consider Ansu Fati as an essential element of the squad and would be open to a departure from the player, whose contract expires next June.
Barça is thinking of replenishing its coffers
A transfer to Saudi Arabia is mentioned. Several clubs, whose identity has not been revealed, are interested in Ansu Fati’s profile. A departure from the native of Bissau would allow the Catalan club, in the grip of financial difficulties, to free up cash for the next transfer window.
Hampered by injuries from the end of November to the beginning of February, Ansu Fati played 28 matches for 4 goals scored and an assist with the Seagulls.
